No Corruption, No Poverty!
Agree or Disagree?

Abstract
“IF there is no corruption in a country, there will be no poverty” Do u agree or disagree to this statement?

Corruption:
There is no international consensus on the meaning of corruption. Nevertheless, a popular way of different corruption is by its scale.
- Petty corruption refers to street level, everyday corruption that ordinary citizens experience as they interact with low/mid-level in public officials.
- Grand (or political) corruption generally involves much larger sums of money and normally affects the country as a whole, as well as the legitimacy of the national government and elites.

The most popularly used definition is:
“The abuse of public office or public position for private gain….”

Corruption is clearly a very serious problem which robs the poor rights and deprives millions of people of access to services and of the opportunity to earn a living. In some countries, it is a major obstacle to economic growth like Nigeria. But there are many different causes of poverty. There are some poor countries that have very little corruption like Ethiopia and there are striking examples across history of countries that have experienced rapid industrialization despite having quite high of corruption.

Increasing Corruption in Indonesia:
There is no morality and everyone is trying to earn more and more by using fair and unfair income to provide their live. Only one relationship in the economic that exists in the society is money. One has to pay a heavy cost to get his right and one else has to get his right with the difficult ways. Law and order conditions are out of control and institutions are failed to provide justice to a common man. Justice can be bought by money only. But government is unable to control such type of things. In this whole scenario some corrupt people has been occupying the resources and common man is living in miserable conditions.

Corruption Vs. Poverty
“Corruption is not the only reason of poverty… i.e. It is not necessary that if there is no corruption, there will be no poverty in a country”
Some of the arguments in support of my opinion are as follows:
1. Income Level of a Country
If a country is poor and ranked in low income countries, then there will be poverty in that country, either the problem of corruption does not exist.
2. Inefficient Resource Utilization
In many developing countries, the problems of poverty are massive of pervasive. They lack the essential education and training for optimum utilization of resources. Because these things are necessary for the development and raise the level of income, developing countries remain poor, either they go for corruption or not.
3. Fluctuated Foreign Investment
Foreign Investors come to the local markets, and they invest millions of dollars in stock markets and stock gets rise in index. Then the investor withdraws his money with profit and market suddenly collapses. The aftermath always be faced by poor people, who have might not be ever think about corruption. So, it is not necessary that if there is no corruption, there will be no poverty.
Unemployment.

4. Overpopulation……???
Look to problem equal distribution
Traktor sawah

An overpopulation country, though having little corruption, can be a major reason for making the country poor, as the resources can only support a certain number of people.
5. Law and Order Situation
There can be lot of problems regarding law and order in a country. Due to uncertainty in stock market, people faces uncertain increase in commodity prices, which drive them below poverty line whether they go for corruption or not.
6. Over-expenditure on Defense???
Dictator……… inefficiency budget
Some countries spend a major portion of their budget, meeting their defense needs. It may cause inequality between institutions and causes increase poverty level in a country. So, over expenditure on defense can be a reason of poverty. Even it does not exist as a necessary condition for corruption.
7. Moral Culture….
im
If the residents of a country are dishonest and irresponsible in fulfilling their social/moral duties, do not pay taxes or constantly violate the laws, it will increase the loss of country, this inequality will widen the gap between rich and poor, though corruption exist or not!.

Conclusion
The above arguments, given against the statement “if there is no corruption in a country, there will be no poverty”. Prove that, corruption is not the only reason for poverty, there may be other factors that can lead to poverty, like the Income Level, population growth rate, Less FDI (Foreign Direct Investment), Focus on white color jobs, etc.
The theory also reveals the fact about countries, which are facing corruption without poverty or poverty without corruption.
